My name is Christina and I’m the person behind Chifalife. My passion for working with and supporting children and youth is what led me to soap making. Working in schools for years, I came to understand the importance of safety, care, and hygiene. After washing my hands MANY times a day, I noticed that my hands were always dry. I found myself spending my weekends trying to bring them back to feeling soft and moisturized.
So eventually, I thought: Why don’t I just make my own soap?
After creating what I felt like was the perfect recipe, I was super excited to share my soap with my friends and family. I loved being able to share something I created with the people I cared about.
Aloe Vera
Aloe vera has always been a plant I’ve appreciated. I started noticing that many of my favorite products had aloe vera. As I learned more about the benefits and qualities that it’s known for, I fell even more in love with it.
Its cooling and soothing qualities made it an ingredient I knew I wanted to incorporate into my soaps. Aloe vera is our proudly chosen mascot and my absolute favorite ingredient of the Chidalife recipe.
All of my soap bars are made with the same core base ingredients. They each have their own scent, color, and story.
Storytelling Soap
Chidalife is a small-batch business where I value quality over quantity. Each bar is intentionally made, and every scent is chosen thoughtfully.
Each scent connects to a core memory, a meaningful moment in my life, or something that has been a big part of who I am.
I am a proud Chicana from California and it was important for me to incorporate my Chicana culture into Chidalife. Those of you that know me personally also know that I grew up on a soccer field and I’m a huge Disney fan.
As Disney taught me the beauty of storytelling, growing up on a soccer field taught me to appreciate the outdoors and the beauty of each season.
I’ve always appreciated storytelling as a magical way to experience a product. So I wanted to create soap that could tell a story.
Every bar of soap comes from an experience I’ve had or is inspired by something meaningful to me. When you use a Chidalife bar, I hope you’re not only enjoying the scent and the experience of using it, but also that it brings back your own positive or loving memory.
